The Best Event to Start off the New Year

The 2019 Real Scout New Year Jamboree will take place at Louis D. Brandeis High School located at 145 W84 st, NY, NY 10024   

Every year the Nate Blue Showcase, Unsigned Hype, and Big Apple Sports are responsible for showcasing hundreds of kids, in a series of camps and all-star games, that bring in at least 100 college coaches in a 3 day period.

Real Scout New Year Jamboree aims to have coaches from around the country as our field for 2019 is top notch.

Here's a Quick Breakdown of the teams selected and what they bring to this years Jamboree.

11:30am High School of Construction vs Wheels Academy

High School of Construction is responsible for two major impact college bball players.  Hofstra's Justin Wright-Foreman & Kyle Allman (Cal state Fullerton), while this is a rebuilding year for 2-time boro champion coach Cory Semper, expect his team to play extremely hard and compete on both ends.  

Wheels Academy is one of the best schools in the entire borough of manhattan.  The home of Tyshawn Myles (Drexel) & Emille Lewis (All-City).  Wheels is looking to have a breakout season with a ton of young pieces including but not limited to Richard Pye a 5'9 senior that wins at all costs.

1pm Metro BDA vs Planet Athlete

"The 2017/18 Champions of the Multiple Paths League (MPL) Metro BDA will face off against Planet Athlete.

Not many teams in the city have a big 3 as talented as Metro BDA.  Trey Clarke 6'6 2019, Savion Thousand 6'3 2019, and Anthony Marshall 6'0 2020 but, the historically good Planet Athlete (Click here for more info) might just have the answer for the NYC MPL Champs

2:30pm Upper Room Christian School vs Old Mill (Maryland)

Upper Room Christian School from Long Island will be coached by Joan Sanchez, one of the best coaches and administrators in the country.  He will bring with him a team of talented pieces in and Venezuelan stud 6'3 SG Andres Marrero '21, 

They'll be playing against a Hamilton Hall Academy team that is bringing a tough brand of basketball and looking to leave their imprint on the city.

 4pm: Payne Tech vs Our Savior New American 

Our Savior New American is a national powerhouse.  Producing dozens of student athletes year after year to the D1 ranks.  The home of NBA Player Cheick Diallo (Pelicans) 

This season looks to be one of their best ever.  Led by top 5 nationally rated sophomore Jonathan Kumminga 6'8   playing alongside 6'5 Twin Brothers Fousseyni & Hassan Drame and  Adama Sanogo 6'8 2021.  This roster alone is one of the better High School rosters in the country. 


Payne Tech will bring in a great blend of D1/D2 talent in seniors Kyle Beckford 6'0, KyYon Chapman 6'4, DaShaun Galloway 6'3, and Jaden Lampley 6'0   

5:30pm: Brandeis vs John F. Kennedy 

JFK is continuing to build their name in the NYC PSAL Landscape.  Historically known as one of the top basketball teams in the city.    Coach Mathis is looking to continue momentum for their program in the Jamboree.

Brandeis on the other hand is a A league school that always comes extremely close to winning the PSAL title year after year.  

Producing some of the best players in our Showcases in April.  The Bulldogs will put on a show in front of the home crowd.
